Description

The Equilibrium Climbing Pants were made for days spend on rock. High Stretch, Breathable, Abrasion Resistant, and made with a harness in mind. The hidden thigh pocket easily holds most phones, your keys, or a mid-session snack, but is sleek enough to go undetected when not in use. A thick elastic waistband holds these pants where they should be while remaining comfortable during dynamic movement (they also have a hidden drawstring for additional security). We know that most outdoor climbing sessions also require an approach, so we made sure that they look good and function well on hikes. You could even pull them off as a winter running pant (at least, that's what our gear testers did).

Excellent multi use pants

Cosmos men’s equilibrium pants. Perfect fit, looks and feels good in urban as well as outdoor environment. Like the three zipped safe pockets, quick drying. Quality stretch material and finish.

More Like a Track Pant

The pants are very light and thin. I ordered them to use as a fall and spring climbing pant but I am concerned with how thin the material is. We have pretty sharp granite when I climbing that is known for tearing through pants and shirts and I think these would quickly be destroyed.

For a climbing pant, I found the fit slightly odd. I have a 30" waist and 32" inseam and ordered a medium based on the fit guides.
The waist fits really well and does not move around and the inseam is a good fit (just a touch long for my preference but probably good for most people). I found that around the legs and butt the pants are pretty loose and feel more like a pair of track suit pants than climbing pants. Under a harness they bunch up uncomfortably and have weird saggy spots.
There is no elastic or cinch at the cuff and without that the loose fit lets them fall over my climbing shoes.

I think they'll work well enough for a training pant but, for me, that's about all they'll be used for.

Measurement Guide: 


1. SLEEVE: With the elbow slightly bent, measure from the center of the neck (vertebrae), Over the shoulder, along the outside of the arm, and down to the wrist bone


2. CHEST: Measure beneath the arms at the fullest circumference of the chest


3. WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist. 


4. HIP: Measure around the widest part of the hip. 


5. INSEAM: Measure the inside of your leg from the highest point down to the ankle or desired pant length.


Tips: 


Find a soft tape measure and a helper.


If your sizes line up in two distinct different size categories for chest, waist, or sleeve, choose the larger size.


If your sizing is between two categories, size down for a slim fit and size up for a looser fit.
